RAMENKA

    INTERIOR DESIGN

Ramenka is a ramen noodle joint located in the old Jewish quarter of Budapest, now known as the nightlife district. The bar specialises in the famous Japanese wheat noodle soup served in a meat or fish-based broth with various toppings. A traditional dish with centuries of heritage in the making, serving and enjoying, with growing popularity around the world.

The interior concept is inspired by traditional Japanese architecture materials and its distinctive geometric design. All the functions were designed with the inspiration of conventional noodle bars, including the limited seating, efficiency and visible kitchen. The minimalist interior contrasts with the vibrant dish, ensuring that this divine soup gets the attention it deserves.

The result is a simple pinewood structure with either transparent polycarbonate or solid walls, depending on the functions. The guests are seated on a massive table in the middle surrounded by custom-made wood stools, and there are additional spaces at the counter as commonly seen in Japan.

The star of this place is the soup itself as it appears in the name and the pure logo, being served in custom made bowls and placed in neutral concrete & wood interior to highlight this rich and colourful dish.
